Job Description:
- Lead the management of contractors in constructing new MRT lines and enhancing existing ones, overseeing stations and tunnel constructions, whether elevated or underground, as well as addition and alteration works for existing lines.
- Ensure the safety, quality, progress, stakeholder management, and environmental impact of contractors’ work, aligning with project goals and regulatory standards.
- Assist in planning and managing risks and cash flows across various contracts, including issuing instructions and assessing variations, payments, and claims to maintain project integrity.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams, civil contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders, and the appointed railway operator to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with all requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Civil Engineering degree recognized by Singapore’s Professional Engineers Board (PEB) or from accredited universities for Resident Engineer (RE) accreditation.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in MRT/metro railway projects or managing deep excavation/tunnel construction using Tunnel Boring Machines (EPB or slurry).
- Familiarity with Singapore’s local codes and transit construction standards, with a strong understanding of civil and trackwork constraints and interfaces.
