Project Engineer (Rail Electrical & Mechanical)

The role involves leading the management of contractors for the construction of new MRT lines and/or enhancements to existing lines. This includes overseeing contractors for the construction of stations and tunnels, whether in elevated or underground structures, or handling addition and alteration works for existing lines. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety, quality, progress, stakeholder management, and environmental impact of the contractors' work. The role also involves assisting in the planning and management of risks and cashflows across multiple contracts. Job Description:

Lead the management of electrical and mechanical services for underground MRT stations and road tunnels, ensuring safety, quality, progress, and coordination between project teams, civil contractors, designers, and stakeholders.
Assist in contract administration, including planning, supervising work progress, managing cashflows, and issuing instructions for variations, payments, and claims.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems, including tunnel ventilation, fire protection, building management, electrical switchboards, UPS, and lift/escalator systems.
Ensure compliance with design specifications, conduct safety inspections, and drive project completion within timelines and budget, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Job Requirements:

Possess Tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in Railway/ large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong project management and leadership skills with proven track records, alongside excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented team player; candidates with more experience may be considered for senior roles, while those without experience are also encouraged to apply.
